Dr Berlinde Drucker is a specialist in hormone therapies, with over 30 years of experience as a doctor behind her. Trained in Brussels and then Montpellier, her background is in anaesthesiology, a field that she worked in for about 10 years. She then moved into pharmacological work, coordinating and managing a series of major drug trials for Pfizer in the Benelux countries. After spending a number of years in the USA, she moved to the UK in the 1990s and has been here ever since.

During her first few years in the UK she organised and managed numerous clinical research programmes in India and China, but since 2013 she has run her own private practice, called Hebe Medical, in south Devon. In this role, she specialises in hormone therapies, mostly for middle-aged people struggling with the ageing process, but also younger women battling with menstrual and fertility issues.

All her treatments use bio-identical hormones, biochemically identical to those in our body, thus doing away with the side-effects associated with the use of synthetic derivatives. Her anti-ageing treatments, using mostly oestradiol, progesterone, testosterone, pregnenolone and DHEA, are valuable both to menopausal women and ageing men, and are individually tailored to each patient's needs.

The treatment is able to halt and partially reverse many of the sexual hormone-related ageing problems associated with menopause and andropause. A balance is restored, boosting energy levels, physical strength, mental acuity, sleep patterns and personal confidence to name just the most obvious. Since there are no side-effects, treatments can be continued safely for many years.

Treatment of younger women for menstrual and fertility problems uses a balanced approach with combinations of progesterone, pregnenolone and DHEA to modulate the body's own hormone production, help to restore the structure of the uterus, to aid correct menstrual cycling, and to boost follicle and egg production.
